U.S. stereo-print of CLASSIC 60's electric-Folk-Rock gem w/a most VIBRATING sound-scape (ever recorded) w/ elevated organ-guitar tapestries, femme/male lead-/harmony-vocs... hitting the Psychedelic dungeon on the eerie, fade-glow bannered song-vessel entitled "follow your dream's way" (6:36) w/ a pounding fuzz-drone like honey drippin' from a lysergik bumble-bee! San Francisco Sound magic (nameley some Airplane when it was about to take off!!) lining thru'covers of Dylan's "the times, they are a-changin'", "let's get together" and songs composed by Carter-Gilbert which also got covered by Hardwater (on their album released on Capitol records)
Year 2000 A Musical Odyssey (Rama Rama) EX / VG++ U.S.'196 110.00
(late 60's orig. U.S. print of organ-fuzz-guitar driven Psychedelic-Rock shaker w/dynamo-souled-vocs; a vibrating West-Coast groove w/funky leanings 'n hot brass on some trax! covers of "midnight hour", "get ready" ...the jam is on fyre on the wild-eyed "cheetah" -track; FOC w/LIVE-photo-shot on front-cover;)
Larry Young Lawrence Of Newark (Perception) EX / EX U.S.'1973 75.00
(early 70's orig. promo-label-print of perco-bred Psychedelic-Fusion piece w/jammin' Jazz splinters, trancey organ/guitar trades w/brass, James "Blood" Ulmer on guitar, Cedric Lawson on on e-piano...; ...brewin' up 'em bitches w/SUN-arkest-RA way of directing 'em spayce-myths;)
Zerfas Same (700 West) M / M U.S.'1973 155.00
(top of the heap as for U.S. privat-press Psychedelia! its lysergick flow reveals a spiritual dimension (any real psychedelic experience does!... beyond boundaries of religious states of wanna-be!) without fondling any gurus' ass! ...just as it is the case w/"easter everywhere" in the 60's, Zerfas cuts into these zones in the 70's; "you never win", the opening track, could easily get mistaken for a pessimistic flourish, a whiff from a cynic's khool; ... "the sweetest part", the song that follows the opening track, may appear as the mere opposit... positive, optimistic, heavenly soothing; awe-rite! it's exactly within the boundaries of this diametrical nature the whole album doth unfold... rough-rasped splinters of coal and the shimmering glance of gold... a wondrous playground set to Rock-music! just like what Whitman 'n Huck Finn is to literature, Zerfas is to 20th century Rock culture! ...pure U.S. americana... I dunno of an european counterpart!
this is a reprint in extra thick card-board cover w/ a pile of inserts; limited 'n numbered edition of 500 copies;)
