(well, makes WEATHER REPORT sound like some premature forecast!!) ...Fryderyk's mind 'n craft reeks w/ an enthralling sensuality and depth and despite the fact that his compositions are well structured there's some elementary (untamed 'n wild) force to be scented here... yes, "Faun" for album-title seems most appropriate!!! Alan Skidmore's sax kindles streams of takin' passion-play w/an earthy/spaced aura (also due to some fine job done by tonmeister Martin Hörnberg) ...and there are 2 drummers(apart from Gurtu) featured here: the swiss percussionist Peter Giger and the american Douglas Hammond Jr.; ...trans-ethnic-jazz... a fusion brewed from very individual gas!) | |||
